Happy July!  Here are a few short updates for you.

Laura Enman:  Laura Enman has decided to continue her schooling, working on a Masters of Landscape Architecture at the University of Washington.  She will continue to assist NGCP through the summer, part-time, managing the upgrade of the mini-grant system.  We are reviewing and revising NGCP staffing assignments, so if you have questions about Network Projects, please contact me directly.  (Please continue to contact Laura with your mini-grant questions.) We will miss Laura's expertise, but I know you will join me in supporting her and wishing her well!

Jenny Lay-Flurrie:  We have completed producing a great video with Jenny.  Many of you met her at the December 2011 and April 2012 institutes.  You can see the video here:  http://www.ngcproject.org/resources.  We will be shipping a copy of the video on a CD/DVD to each Collaborative lead contact over the next few weeks.  Additionally, we are preparing a special edition of the NGCP e-news to announce the video as well as NGCP enhanced resources for serving girls with disabilities.  You are encouraged to distribute information about the video to your networks and consider using it at forums and conferences.

Girls and Games:  NGCP is partnering with Northeastern University, Seattle, and several other groups to launch a long-term initiative to produce games that use the strategies we know engage girls in STEM.  More information is here:  http://seattletimes.com/html/localnews/2021302993_girlgamexml.html.  I'll be in touch as we identify roles for Collaborative regions.  Feel free to contact me if you have questions.

STEM Statistics - New Resource:  The attached, the State of Girls and Women in STEM,  will be on the NGCP website and in SharePoint next week.  I've attached the web version here for your info.  We have had many requests for this sort of information sheet.  We will update it on a regular basis.  Special thanks to Brenda and Amy who have been developing this over the last few months.
