June 2019 Metrics, Referring Domain Study, Next Meeting Details and more

Hello to The Connectory Exchange (TCE) Community Coordination group,

We hope you are all enjoying summer! Here are June's metrics along with other updates including information for our next community meeting:

JUNE METRICS (see attached) Things to note:

  • Programs continue to increase
  • Active opportunities continue to increase. States with highest increases in opportunities: NY (12), TN (10), TX (31)
  • Pageviews and User are down which is normal for this time of year.

REFERRING DOMAIN STUDY: We recently conducted a study on the top referring domains. Using Google Analytics we studied the past 18 months (Jan 2018 - June 2019) and looked at the top 100 referring domains. Here are the top 15 referring domains (widget/API users are in  bold):

  1. NGCP
  2. Texas Girls Collaborative (widget user)
  3. BmoreSTEM (widget user - not currently available due to website revisions, we plan on reaching out to them soon)
  4. Facebook Mobile
  5. Twitter
  6. American Institute of Architects
  7. Facebook Desktop
  8. Afterschool Alliance (widget user)
  9. The Franklin Institute, Leap into Science (widget user)
  10. Society of Women Engineers
  11. Stanford Office of Science Outreach
  12. PBS Kids/SciGirls (uses API)
  13. Monell Center
  14. Facebook Shared Link
  15. Kentucky Girls Collaborative (widget user)

BULK UPLOAD REMINDER: Late July/early August is the perfect time to reach out to programs with back-to-school programming. If you have a provider that is interested in the bulk upload option you may either send them directly to us at info@theconnectory.orgmailto:info@theconnectory.org or reach out to us and we will create the customized bulk upload spreadsheets for you to send. We are planning to promote bulk upload users as par of our back-to-school social media campaign.
