Hello Champions Board Members.  I hope you are all doing well and are safe from the various disasters affecting so many people these past few weeks.

INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE CENTER AND MUSEUM DAY:  We are delighted to announce that we are assisting the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) on organizing a dynamic activity for the next International Science Center and Science Museum Day, occurring November 10, 2017.  NGCP has committed to send a list of women and girls who are interested in making a 2-minute video on how they got into science, technology, engineering, math, or computer science (STEM/CS) or why they are passionate about STEM/CS. These 2-minute videos will be combined with other videos from across the globe and be streamed on the International Science Center and Science Museum Dayhttp://www.iscsmd.org/ site on November 10, 2017. On this special day, there will then be a 24 hour stream of videos, women and girls sharing their love of STEM/CS with the world!

Please share this widely with anyone in your network who you might be interested. The turnaround time is rather quick, and we will need to have information for all interested women and girls by September 14, 5:00PM Pacific. We've created a Google form to make this easy:  https://goo.gl/forms/tSCnvgjfZHJrJgvE3.  The information requested on the form is: Name, Email, Phone and 1-2 sentences describing your interest in STEM/CS.  By early October, we will reach back out to provide guidelines for creating and submitting the videos. Please make sure all requested information is submitted on the form by September 14th, 5:00PM Pacific.  Specific questions go to Erin (ehogeboom@ngcproject.orgmailto:ehogeboom@ngcproject.org).  Thanks for your help with this important project.

FIFTEENTH BIRTHDAY:  Please celebrate 15 years of collaborative success with us by using the #NGCPShineOn via your social media accounts to recognize programs you know of doing great work with girls in STEM!  We'll keep reminding you of this milestone throughout the month.

FALL CHAMPIONS BOARD MEETING:  It is time to schedule our next online National Champions Board Meeting! At your earliest convenience, please fill out this Doodle for your availability in the month of November: https://doodle.com/poll/8ptkfg3weic2c2ed.

Thanks for everything you are doing to support engaging more girls in STEM!
