Subject: [bpcop] Fwd: AccessINCLUDES: Accessibility and Disability in the INCLUDES National Network Conference - Feb 21-22, 2019, Seattle, WA

If you haven't already, please apply to attend a capacity building institute (CBI) hosted by AccessINCLUDES: Accessibility and Disability in the INCLUDES National Network. The CBI, which is funded by the National Science Foundation, will take place February 21-22 at the Graduate Hotel in Seattle, WA. The CBI will bring together faculty, broadening participation leaders, and disability experts, along with  students and professionals with disabilities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.

The meeting will link NSF INCLUDES projects with the disability community to ensure the INCLUDES National Network is better prepared to:

  1. address disability-related issues in their research,

  2. make project activities welcoming and accessible to individuals with disabilities,

  3. design resources and products that are accessible, and

  4. develop durable collaborations with other stakeholders.

Apply online at https://catalyst.uw.edu/webq/survey/blaser/365502 by January 15. AccessINCLUDES grant funding will cover participant travel expenses. We'll share details with participants upon acceptance.

Please share this announcement with others involved in INCLUDES projects or who are a part of the disability community of individuals and projects.

Best,
Brianna
