As many of you know, The Afterschool STEM Hub is a collaboration among out-of-school-time program leaders and stakeholders to provide coordinated messaging and communications that impact advocacy and policy and help ensure the important place of informal, afterschool and summer programs in the STEM learning ecosystem.  It is led by the Afterschool Alliance and generously supported by STEM Next, an initiative launched by the Noyce Foundation.  NGCP and The Connectory belong to the Hub.  For more information on this initiative (including the list of participating organizations) please visit www.afterschoolstemhub.orghttp://www.afterschoolstemhub.org.

The Hub has put together an open sign-on letter to state policymakers to urge them to prioritize informal, afterschool and summer STEM activities in their implementation of ESSA.  If your organization is interested in signing on to this letter (attached), please emailmailto:akrishnamurthi@afterschoolalliance.org?subject=Signing%20on%20to%20Afterschool%20STEM%20Hub%20open%20letter%20on%20ESSA Anita Krishnamurthi Vice President for STEM Policy at the Afterschool Alliance, with the full name of your organization as it should be listed.  The deadline for signing on is August 22.

Thank you for participating.
