We are currently accepting applications for participation in this project. We are happy to announce that we are extending our deadline for application submissions to Monday, December 18, 2017. We will announce our selected State Leadership Teams on January 12, 2018.

We have attached the Leap into Science FAQ designed to help answer some of your questions but also encourage you to reach out to Casi Herrerahttp://cherrera@ngcproject.org with any questions you may have.
In your application, you will identify a state leadership team that must collectively include:
- 2-3 institutions with complementary sets expertise representing science, literacy, and out-of-school time programming.
- Commitment to and capacity for statewide outreach.
- Access to informal educators who serve rural and urban communities across the state.
- Capacity to lead trainings for informal educators and support program implementation.
Each state leadership team will:
- Become a leader in their state for disseminating high-quality science and literacy programming.
- Join a national network of institutions committed to science and literacy outreach.
- Travel to the National Leadership Institute in Philadelphia on March 25-27, 2018.
- Receive evidence-based curricula and kits of materials for educators in their network.
- Participate in monthly professional development and technical assistance from TFI and NGCP.
- Receive an annual stipend (up to $3,900) to recruit educators, lead trainings, and support implementation of Leap into Science in your state.
