Hello Collaborative Leadership team members – here are some updates and questions for you.

  1. NGCP may have an opportunity to distribute, for free, these toy cars - https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20190522005513/en/Mercedes-Benz-USA-Partners-Mattel-Create-Toy-Car as part of a larger engagement program for programs and families.  Is this something you and your networks would be interested in?  Of course, it would be presented in a context.  Before I submit a proposal around some sort of NGCP role, I would LOVE to hear your thoughts and questions.  Thank you in advance for your guidance.

  2. Are you attending the ASTC Conferencehttps://www.astc.org/ in Toronto in September?  We are planning an NGCP gathering at this conference which is September 21-24.  Please let us know if you are attending the conference.  It will be primarily a social hour and we will invite all of our NGCP collaborators!  Our tentative day and time is Sunday, September 22 from 5:30-6:30pm.

  3. Collaborative Leadership Monthly meetings will resume on September 11, 2019 at 11:00am Pacific/12:00pm Mountain/1:00pm Central/2:00pm Eastern.  I’m redesigning the topics for September, October, and November from our previous published plan and will distribute the information next week.  If you have needs and specific topic interests, please send them along.

  4. As part of the IF/THEN Coalition, we are excited to share #FastForwardGirls, the new YouTube series created in collaboration between @IfThenSheCan and @GoldieBlox. Watch now and see girls given the opportunity to choose their lifelong STEM mentors. #IfThenSheCan  ✨ http://bit.ly/ffgirlshttps://ifthenshecan.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e17f6fa9e97431cee870e0f6f&id=bee8da73bb&e=09bcbc75c6.  Please distribute throughout your network.

  5. Recently The Connectoryhttps://theconnectory.org/ conducted an analysis of the top referring websites by reviewing 8 months of data (January 2018 - June 2019) and the top 100 referring domains. Referrals are incoming traffic on a website as a result of clicking on a URL on some other site.  Two NGCP Collaboratives made the list of the Top 15 Referring Websites, Texas Girls Collaborative Projecthttps://www.txgcp.org/ and the Kentucky Girls Collaborative STEM Projecthttp://kgsc.org/search-the-connectory/. Both Collaboratives use the free Connectory Widget.

Would your Collaborative or Organization be interested in giving families, partners, and organizations access to the opportunities listed on The Connectory? The Connectory Widget is an embeddable version of the search engine that adds instant access to the ever-growing database of camps, competitions, festivals, and other STEAM opportunities for K-12 youth throughout the country.  You can customize the widget's size, as well as specify geographical location, type of opportunity, and number of opportunities you would like it to show on your website. Get the code at: https://theconnectory.org/widgets. Send questions to info@theconnectory.orgmailto:info@theconnectory.org.

Thanks so much for everything you are doing to encourage and support girls in STEM!
