Listed below is the Agenda for our meeting next week, December 17, 2012 from 9:00am-10:30am Pacific time. We will be using Adobe Connect. Login and configuration information is at the end of this e-mail.
Supporting documents attached include the Summative Evaluation Report from our extension services grant that ended earlier this year. (We had some overlap between NSF grants.) Our evaluators will also present data from the current grant.
Also attached is an overview of recent kick-off events, and one of our newest handouts - Build Your Collaborative Network with the NGCP Program Directory. A Leadership team member from our Montana Collaborative will join us to describe the successful kick-off event held in August.
We are looking forward to providing an update and collecting your wisdom as we move forward with this work. Please let me know if you have questions.
I will be distributing the link to the recording a few days after the webinar so you can watch it on your own if you are unable to join us.

Subject: NGCP National Champions Board Updates and December Webinar Meeting
Hello NGCP Champions Board members - I hope you are looking forward to a peaceful holiday season! I am especially thankful to all of you for "championing" our collaborative work to increase the capacity of girl-serving programs so we can engage more girls and women in science, technology, engineering, computer science, and mathematics.
Board Webinar Meeting: We have scheduled a webinar meeting for Monday, December 17, 2012 from 9:00-10:30am Pacific/Noon-1:30pm Eastern. We will provide a general update about the project, evaluation highlights from our recent NSF summative report submitted to NSF for the end of the last five year grant, reports from several of our Fall Kick-Offs (there were 6!), and provide you with an opportunity to ask questions and contribute to our vision and goals. The webinar will be recorded so you can access it if you are unable to attend in real time. I will send a full agenda, supporting documents, and access information on Monday, December 10. We will hold the meeting via Adobe Connect.
Welcome to New Board Members: I am pleased to welcome three new Board members who are connecting NGCP with important networks and initiatives. You can read more about them on the Champions Board page on the website.
Thomas R. Baker, Education Manager, Esri
Cara Thunder, Program Director, American Indian Science & Engineering Society
Shawna L. Young, Executive Director, Office of Engineering Outreach Programs, School of Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
White Papers: We have been producing short "white papers" describing key elements of the NGCP Model. You can see them all here: http://www.ngcproject.org/ngcp-publications-0. Feel free to distribute these to your networks. The "Girls Can Fly: Collaboration in Action" and "Build Your Collaborative Network with the NGCP Program Directory" might be most relevant to your work.
New NGCP Website: We have implemented a new NGCP website which allows our Collaborative teams to manage their own sites, mini-grants, and events. This website is a culmination of more than 18 months of work. Special thanks to Amy Foster who managed the project to successful completion. A public website tour was offered earlier this week and is archived here: http://www.ngcproject.org/online-resources-and-tools-using-new-ngcp-website-build-program-capacity. If you have questions or would like your own private tour, please let me know.
I look forward to providing more updates on December 17, 2012. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions or would like to see a specific topic on the agenda.
