Happy International Women's Day!  Thank you for everything you are doing to encourage girls to consider STEM.

NGCP is partnering with talkSTEM, a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing future generations of female and underrepresented STEM leaders, on #herSTEMlens.  Now through May 31, 2021, @talkingSTEM will be hosting its #herSTEMlens photo and video exhibition and social media movement which launched on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, February 11, 2021. The goal of the campaign is to foster STEM mindsets and identity among all girls and women and to celebrate the STEM mindsets of girls and women whose images, videos, and questions are featured in the exhibition.  Here are ways to be involved:

  • View the #herSTEMlenshttps://talkstem.org/herstemlens-virtual-exhibition/ exhibit and leave a comment
  • Check out the free educator resourceshttps://talkstem.org/educator-resources-for-her-stemlens-a-virtual-exhibition/
  • Encourage girls to post their own #herSTEMlens by
    *  Capturing a personalized photo of how you see the world around you that inspires you to think about STEM
    *  Adding a question or idea that other girls and women can share and discuss
    *  Posting your #herSTEMlens on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, or Facebook.  Don't forget to tag @talkingSTEM so they can see your contribution, repost, and also include in the curated virtual exhibition
