Hello Champions Board Members,

We hope that this message finds you and those close to you well. In light of the tragic event which occurred in Las Vegas on Sunday night, it is our wish you consider the NGCP community an extension of your own, and a tool for collaboration in the effort to make this world a better and more equitable place for everyone.

UPDATED MEETING POLL:  We are administering another Doodle Pollhttps://doodle.com/poll/itwr97r3ahxc3akz for our fall Champions Board Meeting. We have new members and the need to accommodate time zones for international attendees. Even if you participated in the last poll, at your earliest convenience, please complete this poll, as there are new days and times.

COLLABORATION INSITUTE: We hosted another successful Collaboration Institute in Seattle, WA September 17th - 19th, with representatives from Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Minnesota, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Montana, Texas, and Washington to share and learn about the collaborative model. Embedded in the Institute was the Pacific Northwest Girls Collaborative Forum, where we featured our iconic Girl Panel: Perspectives on STEMhttp://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=luiqmo8ab.0.0.vdohsxbab.0&id=preview&r=3&p=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fngcproject%2Fvideos%2F1620708921336671%2F. Highlights from the Institute are captured here on Storifyhttps://storify.com/ngcproject/2017-ngcp-collaboration-institute, and you can also follow the celebration of our 15th Anniversary here on Storifyhttps://storify.com/ngcproject/national-girls-collaborative-project-15th-annivers.
STRATEGIC PLANNING SESSION REMINDER:  Our last Strategic Planning Session will be October 20, 2017 from 1:00-4:00PM Pacific at the San Jose Marriott (301 S. Market Street, San Jose, CA 95113). This planning session is in conjunction with the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) Convention, occurring October 21-24. All Collaborative Leads, Leadership Team members, and Champions Board members are invited to participate. This meeting will propose the forward direction of the organization as guided by all three previous Strategic Planning Sessions. NGCP will share a 'Strategic Planning Progress and Recommendations Report' with participants prior to this meeting for participant review and discussion during the meeting. Please register: http://ngcproject.org/ngcp-final-strategic-planning-session.
We look forward to reconnecting with you in November!
