Just a reminder of our meeting tomorrow at noon. We have a number of additional guests joining us for the reception at 5:00pm directly following the Board meeting. We are looking forward to updating you on the Collaboration Institute (which ends in the morning) and providing project updates - we especially need your advice and guidance.
See you at noon!
Karen

Subject: [Ngcpchampions] NGCP National Champions Board Meeting, April 25, 2012, at the Westin Alexandria
We are looking forward to seeing you in three weeks. Attached is a final agenda. Please join us at noon for lunch in room Edison B. It is upstairs from the lobby. There will be NGCP staff to direct you when you arrive on the second floor. We will have presentations from two of our Collaboratives as well as many opportunities for you to share information about your organizations and to help us move our collaborative work forward.
If you have handouts about your organization, please feel free to bring them with you for distribution. There will be about 30 people in attendance. Immediately following the meeting, we will launch the Collaboration Conference with a festive reception, generously sponsored by the Motorola Solutions Foundation. I encourage you to attend the Collaboration Conference if you have not yet registered - our sessions and keynotes are about finalized and we have many wonderful presenters. You can visit the conference website to see details: http://www.ngcproject.org/collabconf2012. Special thanks to Google who has signed on as a Collaboration Visionary, providing major sponsorship for the conference.
I promise to keep you energized and engaged throughout the meeting. Let me know if you have questions. (Also, please let me know if you need a vegetarian meal or other accommodations.)
I've also included a photo from an event I attended on March 26 in celebration of Women's History Month. It was an informal reception at the Vice President's residence at the US Naval Observatory in DC. The Vice President and Jill Biden made some remarks, then mingled with all of us and had a "photo line". There were about 40 people in attendance including a number of women senators and members of President Obama's cabinet. The highlight for me was chatting with Madeline Albright and Candy Crowley from CNN about the current presidential campaigns. (Well, I mostly listened and nodded.) It was a wonderful opportunity to spread the word about the work we are all doing to engage more youth in STEM.
