NGCP and The Hello Studioshttps://jenstancil.com/home/the-hello-studios/ are now recruiting informal STEM education programs to apply to Brite 2021, a two-week, online, interdisciplinary STEM program for girls ages 13-16, with a particular focus on programs serving girls from underrepresented groups, including Black, Latinx, Native American, Indigenous, and youth in rural communities.
Brite will be held July 12-22, 2021, Monday-Thursday for approximately 3 hours of programming each day, and will provide a high-quality, suite of activities centered on collaborative learning with female role models.
Brite will feature two courses: Art x Science and Dream Big, Take Risks. Each day will include hands-on, authentic learning experiences, centering upon problem-solving, creativity, and real-world application, as well as a 60-minute webinar featuring a female role model and a robust Q&A. The week will culminate with BriteFest; a 90-minute celebratory event hosted by a female role model. A customized online platform, accessed through a 1:1 device, will serve as a launching pad for girls to participate in individual, small group, and community-wide activities.
Join us for an informational application webinar on Wednesday, March 17. Sign up herehttps://ngcproject.org/brite-2021-application-webinar.
