Created in partnership with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation<https://www.healthiergeneration.org/>, the National AfterSchool Association<https://naaweb.org/>, and the Afterschool Alliance<http://www.afterschoolalliance.org/>, this document is intended for STEM program providers, school teachers and administrators, and parents to help bolster the argument for blending STEM and wellness education and practices, and to provide the resources in order to do so. The goal of this document is for more youth to benefit from educators having the necessary information and resources to combine STEM, physical fitness, and healthy eating, rather than sacrificing one to implement the other. Final Strategic Planning Session: Our last Strategic Planning Session will be October 20, 2017 from 1:00-4:00PM Pacific at the San Jose Marriott (301 S. Market Street, San Jose, CA 95113). This planning session is in conjunction with the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) Convention, occurring October 21-24. All Collaborative Leads, Leadership Team members, and Champions Board members are invited to participate. This meeting will propose the forward direction of the organization as guided by all three previous Strategic Planning Sessions. NGCP will share a 'Strategic Planning Progress and Recommendations Report' with participants prior to this meeting for participant review and discussion during the meeting.
