New Collaborative STEM and Wellness Resource:  We are pleased to announce the release of a resource document, 'STEM and Wellness: A Powerful Equation for Equityhttps://indd.adobe.com/view/aa299ddd-20fd-43d4-ae48-08436d13f714,' found on the NGCP Publicationshttp://ngcproject.org/ngcp-publications-0 webpage. Created in partnership with the Alliance for a Healthier Generationhttps://www.healthiergeneration.org/, the National AfterSchool Associationhttps://naaweb.org/, and the Afterschool Alliancehttp://www.afterschoolalliance.org/, this document is intended for STEM program providers, school teachers and administrators, and parents to help bolster the argument for blending STEM and wellness education and practices, and to provide the resources in order to do so. The goal of this document is for more youth to benefit from educators having the necessary information and resources to combine STEM, physical fitness, and healthy eating, rather than sacrificing one to implement the other. Please share! This is a working document, so all feedback is welcome. Send questions or suggestions to Erin Hogeboom at ehogeboom@ngcproject.orgmailto:ehogeboom@ngcproject.org.
NGCP National Collaboration Institute 2017: Many Champions Board members have found the Collaboration Institute valuable.  An overview agenda, travel information and other details are on the Collaboration Institute website:  https://ngcproject.org/cinstitute2017.  Activities will begin at 1:00 PM on Sunday, September 17, 2017 and end no later than 3:30 PM on Tuesday, September 19, 2017.  We have secured a low hotel rate in the South Lake Union area of Seattle, at Courtyard Seattle Downtown/Lake Unionhttp://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/seacd-courtyard-seattle-downtown-lake-union/. You may call (800) 321-2211 and ask for the National Girls Collaborative Room Block. Group rate deadline is August 28, 2017. Please register to attend soon, as we have limited space available and would like to include team members from every Collaborative. Participants are responsible for their own travel and hotel expenses.  We hope you will join us in Seattle in September!
Final Strategic Planning Session: Our last Strategic Planning Session will be October 20, 2017 from 1:00-4:00PM Pacific at the San Jose Marriott (301 S. Market Street, San Jose, CA 95113). This planning session is in conjunction with the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) Convention, occurring October 21-24. All Collaborative Leads, Leadership Team members, and Champions Board members are invited to participate. This meeting will propose the forward direction of the organization as guided by all three previous Strategic Planning Sessions. NGCP will share a 'Strategic Planning Progress and Recommendations Report' with participants prior to this meeting for participant review and discussion during the meeting. Please register: http://ngcproject.org/ngcp-final-strategic-planning-session.

Thanks for everything you are doing to encourage girls in STEM!
