Dear Collaborative Leads: I am thrilled to announce that the NGCP is forming a Young Girls Advisory Board (YoGA)! The YoGA Board will help to review and provide feedback on current NGCP initiatives and assist in informing the future direction of the NGCP. One nomination per Collaborative will be accepted. The Board is being convened by two wonderful STEM ambassadors—Olivia Pavco-Giaccia and Lauren Scofield—who will be driving the selection process. Further details on the nomination process are attached and below: · The nomination process is at the discretion of each Collaborative, but we recommend the following criteria: o She must be of high school age. o She should be proactive and excited to help make an improvement in STEM for her peers. o She should have a displayed interest or involvement in STEM related subjects and activities. o She should display leadership qualitities that will help her to seek out the ideas and opinions of her peers in regards to various NGCP initiatives. o She should be available for the first virtual meeting of the YoGA Board on March 24th at 1:00PM Eastern.
