Dear Collaborative Leads and Co-Leads,
Please mark your calendars for a special meeting of the NGCP Collaborative Leads and Co-Leads on Thursday, September 25th, 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM PST, for an update on the NGCP Feasibility Study. Connection details are at the end of this message.
As many of you know, after more than twelve years of operation, and given the growth and success of the NGCP, staff and stakeholders participated in a strategic visioning process focused on determining the best options for expanding program delivery and broadening the impact of this important work. We have ample evidence of the NGCP's effectiveness and evaluation results are clear about the immense value and comprehensiveness of the NGCP model.
To date, NGCP's growth has been supported with funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and our goals and activities have been limited to those identified within the NSF grant. Data collected through the strategic visioning process has indicated that for NGCP to continue to provide more innovative network support and programming, it is now time to establish development efforts that include contributed revenue from individual donors, private foundations, and corporations. This funding strategy will allow us to become more nimble and responsive to the needs of the women and girls in STEM programs across the country, launching the NGCP as its own, independent non-profit organization.
As Leads and Co-Leads you are a vital part of our network as we grow and look to the future. We are looking forward to meeting with you on September 25th and sharing important updates, as well as receiving valuable feedback from you.
We are not ready for a larger, more public announcement at this time and so are limiting this meeting to leads and co-leads.
