Hello Collaborative Leads and Co-Leads, We have a fabulous new Network Project opportunity for your Collaborative. Please review the attached Request for Application (RFA) and information below. Applications are due by August 2, 2016. The California Academy of Sciences is partnering with the National Girls Collaborative Project to bring environmental and citizen science professional development and curriculum resources to youth development educators and organizations, with a particular focus on educators who reach young people in grades 5-8. Ten Master Trainers from NGCP Collaboratives will be selected to take part in a 2-Module workshop series in 2016-2017. The first Trainer Workshop will be held on September 23, 2016 in conjunction with the ASTC Conference in Tampa, Florida. In your application you will identify a Master Trainer (a Collaborative Lead, Co-Lead, Leadership Team or Champions Board member) who will receive: * Travel and lodging to attend two Master Trainer Workshops in 2016/2017; * A $600 stipend for completing the deliverables of the Network Project Agreement; * Curricula and supporting materials for each Educator Workshop and the educators who attend; * Opportunities to participate in future Citizen Science Collaborative projects. Each Collaborative must conduct 2 full-day workshops with 15 educators each (one for each Module 1: Bugs by October 2016, one for Module 2: Birds by February 2017) .
