Subject: Girls STEAM Ahead with NASA 2020 Application Available - Due April 2, 2020
Dear Collaborative Leadership Team members,
We are thrilled to announce the fourth year of our partnership with NASA's Universe of Learninghttps://www.universe-of-learning.org/ and the Space Telescope Science Institutehttp://www.stsci.edu/ (STScI) to bring you Girls STEAM Ahead with NASA http://universe-of-learning.org/girls_steam_ahead resources! The resources range from hands-on activities about space and artistic posters of historic women in STEM to NASA astrophysics exhibits and informational webinars. Please forward this message to the programs and educators in your networks.
These resources are free, and there is funding available to help implement the use of these great tools. Funds are only available to programs that have not yet received funding for this project, are restricted to use for the implementation of Girls STEAM Ahead with NASA resources, and may not be used to fund overhead, salaries, capital expenditures, or other general operating expenses. Materials and supplies directly related to the project may be funded.
Attached you will find a Request for Proposals, and the 2020 application can be found herehttps://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd_jAVCrursV2Wb_0rESF4VOIQYg9A1_a1Vc9jMOHmuj3zatQ/viewform. We also held a national webinar spotlighting the exemplary practices from 2019 grantees. You can watch it herehttps://ngcproject.org/exemplary-practices-using-girls-steam-ahead-with-nasa-free-resources.
If you are interested in applying for up to $200 to help utilize these resources in your program, please complete the application https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd_jAVCrursV2Wb_0rESF4VOIQYg9A1_a1Vc9jMOHmuj3zatQ/viewform by April 2, 2020. (A copy of the application is attached.)
