National Mentoring Month Outreach Impact for FabFems

As you know, during National Mentoring Month, the National Girls Collaborative Projecthttp://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=001EnrCFLK9ShM7_L_NDtw8RcipT-tjzgcpASsMm_oSxvGmFl_tfbwlzEyEeiuWdFTfKkUHkwrQxFm_oYAH3tkcys-YdXOpGqF-xWeu7qYn8WQ= and FabFemshttp://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=001EnrCFLK9ShM7_L_NDtw8RcipT-tjzgcpASsMm_oSxvGmFl_tfbwlzEyEeiuWdFTfKkUHkwrQxFkrOORBc2qG9jNLByHBsacgFG7uMYQpH4s= celebrated the contributions of all those who cultivate a supportive environment for the next generation. We recommitted to expanding mentorship opportunities across our networks, raised awareness of the FabFems Project, and celebrated our community of role models.

Activities included highlighting a FabFem every day of the month on our Twitterhttps://twitter.com/FabFems and Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/FabFems pages, sharing role modeling resources on our social media platforms, and hosting a webinar on January 9, "Ignite Girls' Interest in STEM through Role Models: Stories & Strategies from the NGCP's FabFems Projecthttp://www.ngcproject.org/ignite-girls%E2%80%99-interest-stem-through-role-models-stories-strategies-ngcp%E2%80%99s-fabfems-project."

IMPACT:

  •     34 new Twitter followers, for a total of 282 followers of the FabFems Twitter<https://twitter.com/FabFems> account

  •     54 webinar attendees from around the country, representing current/potential role models and youth-serving organizations
