We held an application webinar today for Collaboratives who indicated an interest in this project. Some of you were unable to attend and others indicated to me while they did not write a support letter, they may be interested in applying to this program.
The link to the webinar is here: http://connectpro35337274.adobeconnect.com/p71iwnrlual/. The Request for Applications is attached.
We are very excited to be partnering on this new NSF grant. If you have questions about the application process and/or the project, please reach out to Casi Herrera at cherrera@ngcproject.orgmailto:cherrera@ngcproject.org.

Subject: [Collableads] Good news! CryptoClub NSF grant - New NGCP Network Project
Importance: High
Hello Collaborative Leaders – The National Science Foundation proposal for CryptoClub has been awarded! Many of you supplied commitment letters for the proposal submitted in Fall of 2015. Dr. Janet Beissinger (some of you met her at the Collaboration Institute in Seattle in December of 2015) wrote a note I have included below. I have also included the original information and expectations letter we distributed last year that has details about this project.
· If you supplied a commitment letter, please write to me individually indicating your continued interest or decline if you are no longer available to be a part of this project. We will begin planning in December with a training in Spring of 2017 (see letter and below).
· If you are a new Collaborative Lead and would like to be considered for this project, please write to me individually indicating your interest.
Feel free to send along any questions you have. You do NOT need to choose specific trainers or programs at this point.
Karen
NOTE FROM DR. JANET BEISSINGER
Hello,
I am very happy to let you know that the the proposal we submitted to NSF last November has been awarded! Thanks for being part of the plan. I think that the commitment of ten NGCP collaboratives to be trained in the first cohort as "hubsite" organizations helped to make it a strong proposal. The more I have been learning about your organizations, the more impressed I am.
The first thing we need to check is whether your organization can is still able to participate. Our work together is scheduled to begin in the Spring of 2017. I have attached the letter we sent you last year to remind you of the what is involved. Dates are to be determined, but we currently expect the 3-day training in Chicago to happen in March.
Best,
Janet
