Collaborative Web Page Updates
Please review your Collaborative web pages on the NGCP website. The NGCP website is experiencing increased traffic due to the upcoming Collaboration Conference and having current information is important for new participants. The website receives over 4 million hits annually and is a powerful tool to share messaging about your Collaborative and Leadership Team and Champions Board member organizations. Please send updates to Amy Foster, afoster@edlabgroup.orgmailto:afoster@edlabgroup.org, in a Word document using track changes by April 1, 2012.
FabFems Directory Ready for Role Models
The FabFems Role Model Directoryhttp://www.fabfems.org/ is now live and ready to be populated with inspiring female role model interested in encouraging girls' interests in STEM. The database is searchable by location, career fields, and other keyword interests that will help match role models with youth programs and events. Please begin encouraging FabFems within your Collaborative regions to registerhttp://www.fabfems.org/registration. This will grow into a rich resource for use by programs, schools, museums, community-based organizations, industry partners and others within your region. We are still looking for feedback on noticeable website issues, so please forward any comments you have on the website to Laura Enman at lenman@edlabgroup.orgmailto:lenman@edlabgroup.org. We are hoping to correct any issues prior to a wider national launch on March 16, 2012.
Featured Promising Practice: Collaboration Across Borders
Does your Collaborative border a state with another Collaborative project? Consider partnering with a neighboring Collaborative to recruit attendees for your events. The newly forming New Mexico Girls Collaborative Project is hosting an informational meeting in Las Cruces, New Mexico, which is approximately 45 minutes from El Paso, Texas. The Lead for New Mexico reached out to Tricia Berry and Tricia posted the invitation and event information in the TxGCP El-Paso listserv. Nice collaborating New Mexico and Texas!
