I hope you have had a good summer! Here is information about upcoming NGCP activities.

September Collaborative Community Meeting:  We are looking forward to reconnecting with you on Wednesday, September 11 at 11:00am Pacific, 12:00pm Mountain, 1:00pm Central, and 2:00pm Eastern.  We will learn about the results from the STEM Career Pathways survey conducted by the Student Research Foundationhttps://www.studentresearchfoundation.org/ and hear updates from our Collaborative Leadership team.  We will also be announcing a new partnership and mini-grant opportunity with Mercedes and Mattel!

Schedule for 2019-2020 Meetings:  Attached is a schedule for community meetings through May 2020. As a reminder, each Collaborative Leadership Team is expected to send at least one participant to each meeting and broad representation of Leadership Team members is encouraged. Welcome Amanda Fisher:  Please welcome Amanda Fisherhttp://ngcproject.org/amanda-fisher, the Manager of Gender Equity Initiatives, a position held jointly between the National Girl Collaborative Project and the Association of Science and Technology Centershttps://www.astc.org/ (ASTC).  Previously, Amanda spent over 10 years at OMSIhttps://omsi.edu/, developing new programs and working with STEM professionals to improve their communication skills. She will be managing our work in the IF/THENhttps://www.ifthenshecan.org/ Project, along with Jolene.  We'll have more updates about this project at the November Collaborative Community meeting.

Research to Practice Webinars in Partnership with SciGirls:  As part of the SciGirls CONNECT2: Investigating the Use of Gender Equitable Teaching Strategies to Support STEM Identity Development in Youth, NSF-funded work, NGCP is leading the presentation of six national webinars(October-April) designed to connect research to practice using the updated SciGirls Strategies as a framework.  We'll be providing an overview of these webinars at the meeting, releasing the complete schedule as part of our post-meeting materials.
