Hello everyone, how are you?  It's been wonderful to "see" many of you on various Zoom meetings and our NGCP national webinars.  I have two questions and an update.

QUESTIONS

  1. Summer Needs:  As we think about summer programming, what resources would be helpful as you support your networks who are offering virtual summer camps and other sorts of virtual events?  We have a number of interested partners who are connecting with us and I'd like to make sure we enter into partnerships that will best serve all of you.  Please reply to this message and send me your needs, suggestions, and comments.

  2. May 13, 2020 Collaborative Meeting:  Our original topic was an orientation to the IF/THEN Collection (repository of images and videos); however, the launch date has been moved to July.  So, what would be a helpful topic (or topics) for us to organize for you at the May meeting?  Again, feel free to reply to me with your ideas and suggestions.  Many of you may be tired of all these online meetings, but it seems important for our network to reconnect - our last meeting was in March and we were just beginning this journey.

UPDATES

  • New NGCP Staff Member, Marisa Garcia:  I am pleased to introduce you to Marisa Garcia.  She began with NGCP at the end of March and serves as our Senior Program Developer.  You can learn more about Marisa herehttps://ngcproject.org/marisa-garcia.  Marisa will be developing and managing our national webinars as well as adapting and developing programs and curriculum.  You will meet her at the next Community meeting.

  • As part of our work on IF/THEN<ifthenshecan.org>, the Ambassadorshttps://www.ifthenshecan.org/ambassadors/ are looking for connections to programs.  We will be reaching out to you as we identify their specific interests.  If you have projects that could use the expertise of one of these amazing women, feel free to let me know.  NGCP is holding meetings with small groups of Ambassador volunteers,  to better identify their interests and then will be doing specific customized connections in the coming weeks.

I hope you are all staying healthy and safe.  Please keep in touch and reach out with questions and resources you need.
