Hello Collaborative Leads and Co-Leads,
We have a fabulous new Network Project opportunity for your Collaborative. Please review the attached Request for Application (RFA) and information below.
Application materials must be received by me via e-mail on Tuesday, September 15, 2015.
Over the 2015-2016 year, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology is partnering with the National Girls Collaborative Project to bring citizen science professional development and curriculum resources to more youth development educators and organizations, with a particular focus on educators who reach young people in grades 3-8.
Two Master Trainers from each of five NGCP Collaboratives will be selected to take part in a workshop held in Seattle in early December of 2015. The workshop will be held in conjunction with our next Collaboration Institute. (We will be announcing more details about the Collaboration Institute next week.)
In your application you will identify two Master Trainers (a Collaborative Lead, Co-Lead, Leadership Team or Champions Board member) who will receive:
Travel and lodging to attend the Master Trainer Workshop in December of 2015;
Curricula and supporting materials valued at over $100/educator;
Access to experts in the fields of citizen science and ornithology;
Opportunities to participate in future Citizen Science Collaborative projects.
Each Collaborative must conduct full-day workshop(s) and train a minimum of 20 educators by the end of March 2016.
More information including a timeline and link to the curriculum is available in the RFA.
Please feel free to contact me if you have questions about this opportunity.
