Here are several important NGCP updates.  Let me know if you have questions.  I look forward to seeing many of you in June!

NEXT NGCP CHAMPIONS BOARD MEETING:  Monday, June 17, 2013, 6:00-8:30pm, Austin, Texas (during the U.S. STEM Solutions Conference).  I have heard from many of you that you will be attending this conference.  (More information here:  http://usnewsstemsolutions.com).  We will serve dinner, provide some updates, and engage in a lively discussion about moving the National Girls Collaborative Project forward.  Please let me know if you can attend.  I'll send out an agenda in the next few weeks.  We will plan to have a full day meeting in the Fall in DC and will be able to have a more thorough discussion and updates.

LEADING THROUGH ROLE MODEL EVENT AT THE OFFICE OF PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT ON MARCH 14, 2013:  I hope you read the summary in the April NGCP e-newsletter. NGCP partnered with Techbridgehttp://www.techbridgegirls.org/, FabFemshttp://www.fabfems.org/, Mid-Atlantic Girls Collaborative Project (MAGiC)http://www.ngcproject.org/collaborative/mid-atlantic-girls-collaborative-magic-project, and the U.S. Office of Personnel Managementhttp://www.opm.gov/ to provide a professional development event "Leading Through Role Modeling: Training the Federal Workforce to Engage Girls in STEM". Training and resources were provided to Federal employees who are interested in serving as role models for girl-serving STEM organizations with a "recipe for success" to interact with girls in a meaningful and impactful way and to prepare organization leaders, educators, and volunteers to improve the quality of their organization's outreach to girls in STEM.  Watch for a report in July.  This is a model we will be replicating at other federal sites around the United States.  Special thanks to Karen Harper, Champions Board member,  who represented the U. S. Department of Defense and provided us with useful feedback.  You can find more information on the websitehttp://www.ngcproject.org/leading-through-role-modeling-training-federal-workforce-engage-girls-stem - which is continuing to grow as we add resources.
