Hello to The Connectory Exchange (TCE) Community Coordination group,

OCTOBER METRICS Things to note (see attachment):

  • Programs and active opportunities continue to increase.
    *  Opportunities, states with highest increases: NC(+33), PA (+17), TX (+6) - all other states either no increases or none more than 1-5.
  • Pageviews and time on site are up. Users took a slight dip.

NEXT MEETING: The next TCE Community meeting will be on January 27, 2021 at 10:00 AM Pacific / 1:00 PM Eastern. This meeting will take place on the Zoom platform. A meeting request from Jolene Gustafson, with connection details, will be forthcoming.

UPCOMING CODE UPDATE: We are currently testing a code update to The Connectory that will be pushed to the production (live) site in the coming weeks. This update is related to our work with The Circuit and includes the following:

  • New field added to The Connectory's API (Circuit ID).
  • Approved opportunities will be pushed to the Circuit test site via the Circuit's API.
  • For opportunities submitted via the NC Exchange, these opportunities will be pushed upon their approval in the NC Exchange dashboard - the Circuit is designed for all ages, so the desire is to have all of your opportunities (not limit them to K-12 youth, as we do on TC).
  • Updated and approved records will push updated data.
  • As with our sites, only upcoming opportunities will be displayed (past opportunity data will be pushed but not displayed).

Our developers indicate that this change shouldn't affect NC Exchange or the data you are pulling into NC STEM Center. That said, we will be double-checking both the Exchange site and NC STEM Center when the code is deployed as an extra precaution. We will also let you know so you can independently test. If there are any questions, please email Jolene directly at jolene@ngcproject.orgmailto:jolene@ngcproject.org

ORGANIZATIONAL UPDATE: I will soon be taking on the role of Director of Operations at the National Girls Collaborative and will be passing all Connectory and Exchange-related duties to Jolene Gustafson and the Digital Collaboration and Web Services group. This transition is currently in progress with me fully in my new position by January 1, 2021. Going forward, Jolene will be managing The Connectory Exchange (TCE) Coordination Community, including the quarterly meetings, monthly metrics, and any development update notices.

Take care!
